What Is Each Port On The AeroFS Private Cloud Appliance Used For?

The following table describes the purpose of each port with respect to AeroFS services.

Redirects to port 443.

Required for logging into Private Cloud Website and other central services.

4433

Similar to 443, but with an internal CA certificate.

5222

Similar to 4433, but with mutual authentication.

8084

API Gateway: devices create a reverse tunnel to the API front-end via this port. This port is required for features such as Web/Mobile File Access and Secure Link Sharing.

8888

Relay transport: allows devices to sync data with each other, even when both devices cannot receive any incoming connections

29438

Central service event stream: required for functions like inviting users to a shared folder, changing folder access permissions, remote wipe, unlinking devices and reporting defects.
